Advanced searching: combining two searches
If you select two search boxes when you are searching the activities list, they are combined with a Boolean AND. So if you want to find all walks led by Stan Marks with Easy Terrain, you select Stan Marks in the leader box, and Easy in the Terrain box, and hit Search and you will get what you want.
The System does not allow you to do a search that combines two data elements with a Boolean OR. For instance if you want to see only walks that are Short or Medium in Length, you will have to do two separate searches – one on Short length and one on Medium length. Similarly you can’t do a ‘Not’ search – so you can’t search for all walks with ‘Not rough’ terrain.
