The objects of the Canberra Bushwalking Club are to:
- promote bushwalking and allied outdoor activities;
- foster appreciation and conservation of the Australian countryside, bushlands, fauna and flora and to encourage field studies;
- support the establishment and preservation of national parks and wilderness areas;
- compile bushwalking information;
- co-operate with organisations and persons having similar interests and objectives; and
- assist members to develop skills in navigation and bushcraft.
