Wednesday walks are organised collaboratively by three Canberra Clubs – the Brindabella Bushwalking Club, the National Parks Association (ACT) and the CBC. Each club takes it in turn to provide Activity Leaders. There is at least one walk offered each Wednesday, and generally two. When two walks are offered, one walk is of an easier standard than the other.

All Wednesday Walks are no-need-to-book walks. Walkers meet at a time and place chosen by the Leader – usually at 8.30 am at a shopping centre in suburban Canberra or in Queanbeyan – and carpool from that point.

The details of each Wednesday walk, including the meeting point, are usually finalised on the preceding Sunday or Monday. The details are not always listed on the CBC Activities page as these walks are sometimes led by the Brindabella Bushwalking Club or the National Parks Association (ACT). If you would like to be included on the Wednesday walk email list please contact the CBC Wednesday Walks Co-ordinator John Danaro – wednesday.walksatcanberrabushwalkingclub.org or Tel 02 6254 3814.

Whether or not you are a CBC member or registered guest, before your first Wednesday walk, you must contact the walk leader to discuss the level of difficulty and must be accompanied on the walk by a sponsoring member. Please note that leaders retain the right to not accept any walker.
