You will notice that some future activities on the Bilby Activity list are marked as Closed and it is not possible to book on them.

A walk leader can mark an activity as Closed when the party size has reached the limit they wish to have for the trip, or maybe the limit plus a couple more on a ‘wait list’. The walk leader does not want to have to deal with any more booking requests.

You will not see the ‘Create a booking’ link but will still be able to ‘Ask a question about this activity!’

Activity owners – you can help prospective walkers gauge the availability of places on your trip by setting a Maximum Participants number in your activity description. As bookings are validated, Bilby automatically counts down available places and includes an ‘n Spots Left’ marking on your activity. When the number of validated participants equals the maximum participants number, the marking changes to ‘Activity Full’. If you have marked the activity Closed, no further booking requests will be allowed. If the activity is not closed, further booking requests can be made. Bilby even helps you manage these, as the default view of the participants list is sorted by created date/time. That means that the bottom Interested requests can form your ‘wait list’.
