Bilby only sends notifications to those members who opt-in under their Preferences settings. We try to be as non-intrusive as possible. There are a variety of notifications that a leader may wish to send. For example, you may wish to let all approved participants on a trip know of the starting place or the transport cost, etc.
Note that when you cancel an activity an email notification is automatically sent.
