ACT Rogaining Association
Rogaining: the sport of long-distance cross-country navigation. ACTRA organises several events each year including the ACT Rogaining Championships – 8 and 24 hours.
ACT Walking for Pleasure
Exercise in a social atmosphere and enjoy Canberra’s network of open spaces, parks, lakes and forests. No bookings are required. The emphasis is on relaxation and enjoyment.
ANU Mountaineering Club
The ANUMC is a community of students, graduates, public servants and more, who all have in common a passion for the outdoors and being active in adventure sports and other outdoor activities.
Brindabella Bushwalking Club
The Brindabella Bushwalking Club offers a range of walking opportunities. The Club issues a new walks program twice a year including bushwalks, urban walks, and other activities to suit all standards of walkers.
Canberra Cross Country Ski Club
CCCSC brings members together for day, overnight and longer ski tours from June to November if snow conditions permit. The tours are led by volunteer Club members.
Kosciuszko Huts Association
The Kosciuszko Huts Association (KHA) is a voluntary organisation formed in 1971 to assist with the conservation, management and reconstruction of huts, homesteads and surrounds within Kosciuszko National Park (KNP) in southern NSW.
National Parks Association of the ACT
The Association promotes national parks, their good management, and the protection of our fauna and flora, scenery, natural features and cultural heritage.

Bushwalking Australia is the national body representing the interests of bushwalkers and other recreational walkers. The Canberra Bushwalking Club is affiliated with Bushwalking Australia via Bushwalking NSW.
Bushwalking NSW
Bushwalking NSW is the peak body for bushwalkers in NSW and the ACT. It represents over 12,000 bushwalkers from 69 bushwalking clubs. The Canberra Bushwalking Club is a member of Bushwalking NSW.
Bushwalking Queensland
Bushwalking Queensland Inc. is the peak body that represents the interests of bushwalkers and members of affiliated bushwalking clubs in the state of Queensland.
Bushwalking Victoria
Bushwalking Victoria is the peak body for all bushwalkers and bushwalking clubs in Victoria, representing 62 bushwalking clubs, 8 associated organisations and almost 200 individual members on bushwalking and conservation issues in Victoria.
Bushwalking Western Australia
Bushwalking WA represents the interests of Western Australian bushwalkers and has been engaged in continuous dialogue with Western Australian State Government agencies to allow bushwalking in Water Catchments.

The National Parks Association of NSW is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to protect, connect and restore the integrity and diversity of natural systems in NSW and beyond, through national parks, marine sanctuaries and other means.
Walking SA
Walking SA is the not-for-profit peak body that leads, promotes and supports all forms of walking in South Australia and the Northern Territory, including walking for recreation, transport, health, wellbeing, organised events, adventure, environmental appreciation and fun experiences.

Photodiary of a Nomad
This site has been set up to document a series of walks and travel to different parts of the globe. It is primarily for the authors’ own records and memories, but anyone who might find it of interest is welcome to browse. There are now 35 photo diaries covering more than 8300km of walks, plus the odd trips by canoe, bike and other means.

This site can be useful when planning a walk to check on the extent and severity of past fires.
Click on ‘Add Layers from Catalogue’, then ‘Hazards’, then ‘Fire Extent Severity Mapping (FESM) and finally, select the year that you want to look at.
