Route

Start in the sealed carpark at the end of the cul-de-sac that leaves Heidelberg Street, Conder, just north of the Lanyon Vikings Club.

Find the concrete path that heads west from the carpark and follow it 170 metres downhill to Tharwa Drive. Turn left just before Tharwa Drive and follow a concrete path that runs south, between Tharwa Drive on your right and playing fields on your left, for 550 metres. Cross Box Hill Avenue.

After Crossing Box Hill Avenue, turn left and follow a path uphill (east), with a man-made watercourse on your right and Box Hill Avenue on your left.

Continue on this path as it crosses Pocket Avenue via an underpass and curves south east to cross under Tom Roberts Avenue by a second underpass. Continue uphill with suburban back yards on your left and the man-made creek on your right, curving north until the path ends at Beaumaris Street.

Cross Beaumaris Street and continue on footpath along Tom Roberts Avenue for 180 metres, then turn right to cross Tom Roberts Avenue and enter Templestowe Avenue. The footpath will take you across a bridge. Eighty metres along Templestowe Avenue, cross it and head downhill (north west) on a concrete path into the Conder Community Wetlands.

Continue downhill on this path for 1.2 km, crossing Box Hill Avenue and Heidelberg Street via underpasses. One hundred metres past the Heidleberg Street underpass, the path branches. If you turn left, across a footbridge, you will return to the starting point. If you continue straight, downhill, for 1 kilometre, you will reach Point Hut Pond and can join the PoInt Hut walk.
